What A Difference A Year Makes!

One year ago today at about this very time, B was returning to his room in Neuro ICU at Barrow Neurological after surviving emergency brain surgery. What a year of growth our family has had... and today we received some amazingly good news. Because of the type of cancer I had, genetic testing had to be done to see if it was a certain kind of Medullary Cancer that was genetic. If positive, it would be recommended that my children should have their thyroid gland removed. Today we found out that it is considered "sporadic" and they get to keep their thyroids! :) What a great day to be alive!!! So much to be grateful for!
