A Few Steps Closer

Since B turned 18 recently, he had to have everything done for his Eagle Scout Award BEFORE that day. That included quite a few merit badges, interviews, signatures, and a final project of over 100 hours. Needless to say, his summer was full of a nagging mom, many trips to merit badge councilors, and an outdoor project in July in over 100 degree weather. Happily, everything did get turned in on Monday, and he turned 18 on Friday. Too close for my comfort! This Wednesday for young men, there was a scout court of honor where he received the merit badges he had passed off. As his leader said, his scout spirit was found again and he accomplished much! His Eagle papers have been submitted to national and we will just wait now for his board of review. Great work, B!!! We're proud of you!!!
