Day 4

And the vomiting continued...all day. I never knew that bile could so closely resemble the juice from wheat grass. Anytime there was movement, we knew what was next.

Today was the first day at trying physical therapy, which included sitting up, transferring to the big chair, sitting for at least 10 minutes, then getting back in bed...and trying not to vomit.

The glasses that B has on are to help his double vision. If one eye is covered, the double vision goes away, but if a patch is put on, that eye doesn't have to work at all and his peripheral vision as well as depth perception are gone. With the glasses, they put a small piece of tape on the lens covering the one eye, which makes it so he can then have near normal vision. It was pretty cool.
He had a few more visitors today, which always wore him out, but also always gave him the boost he needed.

Ashlyn, Joe, and Eric; L & Ashlyn

Ashlyn is B's date to the Homecoming dance, which is next Saturday, which Dr. Spetzler's NP said that he would probably be able to make it to, if all went well. In the mean-time, the "day-date" was going to be a trip to the zoo...with all the friends...today. Not going to happen. Pretty disappointing.
Around 1 am, I decided since W was there and B was sleeping, I'd slip out and go home to shower. Little did I know that his friend Stanton and his dad were passing me on the freeway. (I had the camera w/me, so there's no pic. Sorry!) B & Stanton have been friends since they were 4 and Stanton couldn't wait any longer to see how his friend was doing. His dad is a doctor, so he's been helping us understand everything that's been going on. They had also become L's adopted family since the rest of us were living at the hospital. L LOVES being in their home, and it was so nice for us to not worry at all about her and how she was doing. We knew she was being well taken care of. Thank you.

B's Young Mens President, Bro. Allen, has been by everyday to check on him, as well as Bishop Riggs, and the Shields'. He's feeling everyone's love and support and it's appreciated!
