Making Memories

We had such an amazingly fun weekend in California! We went to Disneyland & Cal-Adventure Friday and Saturday where we met up with lots of friends, neighbors, and cousins. It's so fun to do D-land with others and share the excitement!

Friday we watched Tara and others dance at California Adventure then spent most of the day with them riding rides and having fun. That evening, my niece and her family, along with my sister, joined us at Disneyland where the fun continued. We're so blessed to get to see them when we go there, and this time we stayed with them. They're always so hospitable and so much fun that sometimes I think our kids would be just as happy staying at their house instead of heading to D-land!

Saturday was more rides, shows, and enjoying each other's company. That evening we met up with our "cousins" after Fantasmic and spent a bit of time with them. They make up the other half of "The Filltridge Family". It was so great to be with them and help celebrate Stephanie's birthday!

This was our last trip as a whole family for who knows how long. Bitter-sweet. Our little family is changing and growing up and I'm really not liking it very much. With K at school, possible mission, or getting married; and B graduating and heading on a mission; life will definitely be different at our home. Fortunately we'll still have L here to keep us on our toes!

We also found that we're not as young as we used to be. We've decided that a perfect trip would be a day at the park, a day of rest, then another day at the park. I guess it has something to do with the tradition of closing the park and leaving sometime after 1:00am. But it's tradition!

W took us on a little 2 hour detour after dropping K off at the airport where we went down Hollywood and Sunset Blvd. to see all of the things there. Then we headed to Dodger's Stadium, which I think was the highlight of B's whole trip. We headed home around 6:30pm and arrived safe and sound.
